Top 5 Spring Trends

Spring is here so lets get your wardrobe together. I recently talk to Kar at Clotheshorse and she gave me her top 5 great picks for you to add to your closet:

1) PINK. The most powerful color on the runway! Wear it with hot corals for a look that says spring 2009.

2) COLORFUL CARDIGANS. It becomes your new jacket. Wear it belted for a look that is truly updated.

3) SNAKESKIN ACCESSORIES. A shoe, a bag, the real deal or a print. Chic reptilian motifs are the perfect exotic touch for your warm weather wardrobe.

4) STATEMENT SHOES. Sky-high stilettos defined the runway and will define your look for spring with sexy shoes that bring your wardrobe excitement from head to toe.

5) ONE-SHOULDER DRESSING. From New York to Paris, the one shoulder bared itself on every runway.

Top Consignment Shops: Dallas, Texas

What is a fashionsita to do when the economy is crumbling right before her eyes, but still wants to look great during every second of the day. She consignments!! Never heard of it well then you are missing out on some great treasures. The premises of consignment shops is for individuals to sell their gentle worn clothes at the fraction of the price to another consumer. And the best part is that MOST stores only take items that are currently in season. I currently live in dallas and we have several great ones that I frequent and have gotten to know the management team very well. I am not knocking Plato's Closet or Buffalo Exchange but I rather deal not deal with franchised consignment stores.

Bye Bye... eluxury

It's with utmost sadness to report that eLuxury.com, will be closing its operations in the following six months. The company is not filing for bankruptcy or going under because of financial missteps on there part. Instead they have decieded to close the doors because many of the brands they carry have their own e-commerence.

Don't fret the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton-owned company because “Starting in mid 2009, eLuxury’s new mission will be to create an ‘e-window’ into the world of luxury, by serving as an information reference for luxury in fashion, art de vivre, leather goods, wines and spirits, watches and jewelry, gastronomy, cars, yachts and services,” the spokeswoman said. “To that end, eLuxury intends to develop collaborations with the most prestigious names in the world of luxury media, as well as the main contributors of the luxury world.”

I will truly miss the website because there SALES were AWESOME!!! Keep your eyes peeled the company might be having a great farwell sale.

Lets shop your closet....

Hey Fashionista,

Do you feel that your closet is lacking because of the economic? Have you started questioning whether you should buy new shoes or sell your old shoes to pay extra on the bills? Well, you are not alone, millions of Americans are suffering from hard times. Don't fret thinking your committing fashion crimes by reworking things in your closet. Shopping your closet is the new thing in the fashion world, socialites around the globe have been doing for years.

So, where does a person start when they shop their closet. If you are not experienced fashion expert or stylish gal like me...LOL.. you can start by buying "Shop Your Closet: The Ultimate Guide to Organizing Your Closet with Style" by Melanie Charlton Fascitelli ($18). Melanie teaches you how to make a safe haven for your clothes so that you can, yes, go shopping in your own closet. She will go into details about how to clean out your closet, shop for items that flatter your body, make the best wardrobe for your lifestyle, rework your closet space, and store shoes and clothes so that they last longer.

My closet is well organized in my mind & I have shopped many times over. I am going to give you a tour of my small closet (alot of my clothes are STILL at my dads house). All the pictures below are some of my favorite items. I hope this helps you.

gucci wrislet, gucci, ramapage, prada, & Chloe
I know alot bags...LOL

Well, you seen my closet and you have seen all the great treasures I have in it. Here are some rules for when you shop your closet. If you still have the tag on the items try them on and see if they fit if not consignment shop. You should look at everything and see when the last time you have wore the item. If it has been awhile it needs to go into a consignment shop bag. First you consignment, what money you make you can buy more update items for your wardrobe. If there is any clothes let over take them to a women shelter or goodwill.
